Thank you once again for your support
of the CREDO Eucharistic Event being held in September 2008.
We appreciate the many parishes and volunteers who have acknowledged
the importance of the faith in the lives of our diocesan youth.
One of the important elements of the weekend
will be when the young people break off into small groups for
reflection and discussion of the talks given by guest speakers.
To help assist with these small groups, we are in search of capable,
spirit-led people.
We are asking qualified, interested adults to
prayerfully consider giving up their Saturday to spend time with
the Eucharist, hear inspirational talks, and help to facilitate
small groups of youth. The adults need to be at least high school
graduates, in line with church teachings, available on Saturday
September 27th from 7:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and training will take
place for Small Group Leaders during CREDO, I Believe before the
first Small Group session. Details to follow.
We are in need of 120 small group leaders. Because
we need to recruit so many leaders, we created an application
process to help us get to know potential small group facilitators
better. We do not mean this to be a hoop to jump through; rather,
we just want to be assured those who are working with the young
people feel comfortable in doing so. We will also keep then a
file for the future. Please
download the application form for volunteers to fill out and
return as part of the screening process. Please copy as needed.
