NEWS FLASH!

St. Gertrude Festival will be featured on the Channel 19 morning extra show, Thursday, June 6 at 9:00am. Please tune in and see why we are so proud of our festival. We want everyone to know this is the only place to be June 7-8-9. Frank Marzola and Tracy Johnson will be interviewing two of our co-chairs.

Dealer Training: Wednesday, June 5 at 6:00pm in the gym. Come learn the card games and become a dealer. Training lasts about an hour. No experience or reservation needed just come and learn!

Volunteers are needed the week of June 3-6 from 6-9:00pm helping Joe, our electrician. NO ELECTRIC EXPERIENCE NEEDED. If you can screw in a light bulb we need you! The more hands the better.

Volunteers will be available outside ALL MASSES the next two weekends collecting your Major Award Tickets and soliciting for volunteers. Please consider helping for a two-hour shift. Remember it takes 700 volunteers to run this show! Thank you!

We are still seeking families to chair a booth for one night. Please get a few friends together and make this a night out. Please call Cathy at 494-1391. If you are going to be out of town we have plenty of pre-jobs that need to be done.
The reserved parking spot next to the gray storage units are part of the auction booth from the festival. These are reserved spots and are clearly marked who is to park there. Please refrain from parking in those spots. We appreciate your cooperation.

St. Gertrude 5K Run to Remember - 2013

Course: A 3.1 mile loop beginning at St. Gertrude in Madeira, through Indian Hill neighborhoods, and returning to St. Gertrude. Split times will be given at each mile.
Registration: For all entries postmarked by June 3, 2013: $20/adult, $15/child (18 and under) and $60.00 per family. Includes T-shirts. For race day registration: $20 plus an additional $5 for T-shirt (while supplies last). Race day registration begins at 7:30 A.M. in the Parish Center. Register online at www.stgertrude.org

Volunteers Needed


St. Gertrude Festival chairpersons have been planning this year’s festival for several months already. The festival is the parish’s most critical fundraiser each year and would not be a huge success without many volunteers. Volunteers are needed the week before the festival, festival weekend, and post festival. With over 60 booths (games, food, auction, & raffle), rides, entertainment, gaming hall, 5K run, and so much more, volunteers are needed.
