Funeral

St. Gertrude’s has a Bereavement Ministry team ready to help you when you need to schedule and plan a Funeral Mass for a family member.

Please call our parish office at 561-5954, ext. 2101 and our secretary will begin the process for you. She will speak with the funeral home and assist in scheduling the Funeral Mass. If you call in after business hours, you will be prompted to speak with one of our priests on call.

Next, a volunteer bereavement planner will meet with you to help choose readings and music, and answer any questions you may have. These parishioners are very experienced and helpful. You will have the opportunity to meet with a priest as well.

Finally, we can usually host a post-funeral reception coordinated by our Helping Hands group, in our parish center. Your bereavement planner will tell you more about this.
