Ladies of Charity

Their primary function is to assist the poor. They channel financial support to local organizations to give direct aid to those in need. After all Masses on the first and second Sunday of the month, parishioners contribute clothing, food and other items to the Sharing Van in the parking lot. They also help in area soup kitchens and contribute to the needs of the individuals. The Ladies of Charity sponsor the Thanksgiving food drive and the Christmas Giving Tree. They assist the bereaved by providing and serving food after funerals. Their support comes from the Treasure Mart in July and the Craft Show in the fall, plus donations from private contributions and the parish.

Cincinnati Archdiocesan Ladies of Charity

About Us

"Those who love the poor during life will have nothing to fear at the hour of death."
- St. Vincent de Paul

Founded in 1617 by St. Vincent de Paul, the Ladies of Charity is a worldwide association of practicing Catholic women who seek every opportunity to make Christ present in the lives of the sick, the poor, and the lonely. Ladies of Charity help to serve both the material and spiritual needs of others by volunteering their time to direct outreach programs (such as soup kitchens and visiting the sick) and to fund-raising activities (such as the Craft Show and Treasure Mart) whose proceeds go directly to serving the needs of the poor - stewardship of time, talent and treasure.

Any practicing Catholic woman who is 18 or older from any parish in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is welcome to join! There are currently women in the organization who range from young professionals to retired senior citizens. Whatever your age, whatever you do, you will find life's greatest fulfillment comes through serving those who need you.

There is no strict time commitment! It's as little or as much time as you have available and there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to help. Ladies of Charity activities include, but are not limited to:
