A Big Thank You To All Who Helped Make Our Plant And Bake Sale A Success. Thanks to the bakers, the people who donated plants, the set-up people, the people who staffed the sale, the ones who helped clean up at the end and especially those who shopped at the sale. Through your participation at this and past sales, we can now cover the cost of the sidewalk to the north parking lot, a small seating area, and a few additional plantings to aid in the safety of our children.

Grounds Care Notes

Help support the various Landscaping Projects on the parish grounds implemented by the gardening volunteers. If you cannot donate any of the items below, come and do your shopping! We will have plenty of great items for sale.

Plant Sale:

While cleaning up your property for the new growing season, keep us in mind when thinning out crowded or no longer needed perennials, such as Iris, Hosta, special grasses, small shrubs, small trees, etc. Label the group or items with any particulars, such as name, color of bloom, height, and anything else that might help them sell. Pot them if you can (we will have empty pots for you to use in the extra lot) and drop off the plants the week of the sale. Please, only donate items that have a good survival rate! Decorative pots, lawn ornaments, and other gardening items can also be donated.

Final Plant Sale of the Year

PLANT SALE

Thanks for your support during our FALL SALE the last weekend in September. We did extremely well but we still have a lot of plants left over. COME VISIT US AT THE LADIES OF CHARITY CRAFT FAIR ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20. You can still get some great plants AT GREAT PRICES!

Not sure of our location for the sale at this time, but we will be outside somewhere on the property. All of the monies raised at these plant sales go directly toward our Landscape Fund that we use to beautify the parish grounds.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT! ― Reen Taylor

A special thanks to Don and Joe for coming to help our gardeners with trimming shrubs on 8/11. We were not able to finish but hope to complete the work SOON.

In the near future we will be enlarging the flower bed and adding new plantings behind the sacristy, by the handicapped area.

Trim the bushes with the Pastor

Trim the the bushes on the parish grounds.

This was originally scheduled for July 14th, but was cancelled due to rain.

New Additions To The Sidewalk - Grounds Care Notes

You may notice some new additions to the sidewalk between the church and the parish center. Thanks to all of you who supported our plant sales over the past several years we were able to completely fund the new gathering area and also install new pavers to enlarge the sidewalk between the church and the parish center. With all of the major expenses the parish has for the maintenance of our buildings, we are happy to contribute our part for landscaping improvements. We hope you enjoy your new space and wider sidewalk.

THANKS to everyone who donated plants, helped us price, sort, and sell items at our Spring Plant Sale. THANKS also to those who made the extra effort and brought us baked items for the sale, and THANKS to those who set up their “Yard Sale” in our parking lot. It was a beautiful day and we had many buyers come our way. THANKS also to the St. Vincent de Paul driver who brought the truck on time to pick up left over items from the Yard Sale.

Did You See Our Sign?
Good gardening days can be unpredictable, so, since we have no regular Saturday dates, we have placed a sign near the KofC entrance to let everyone know when we are gardening. If you can help, even for an hour or two, please stop by! We would love the extra help!

Adopt-A-Plot

3rd Annual Plant & Bake Sale

Grounds Care Ministry to Host 3rd Annual Plant & Bake Sale ...and more! Once again, we will host this event on the parish grounds on May 19 to coincide with MADEIRA’S CITYWIDE YARD SALE! Highlights of this year’s event is our OWN yard sale where you can rent spaces ($20.00 for 2 parking spaces) to sell your treasures. Spaces must be reserved in advance. We will conduct this event, rain or shine, from 9:00am until 1:00pm by the gym entrance, as well as on Sunday after all morning Masses. Whatever you don’t sell can be donated to a local charity and we’ll take it there for you!
