Welcoming Ministry
New Member Welcoming Ministry – seeks those who are out- going and enjoy meeting people to register new parishioners after the 9:30am Mass. Volunteers are scheduled on a rotating basis throughout the year and generally serve one Sunday every other month. The commitment entails walking new parishioners through the form and new member packet. It goes a long way in making people feel connected to St. Gertrude Parish. If interested, please contact Jana Widmeyer

Welcoming Committee at St. Gertrude Parish plays a very important role in our parish as they are often the first people that new parishioners meet as they join the parish and begin their active St. Gertrude Parish life.
These committee members are responsible for the registration of new members after the 9:30 am Sunday Mass in the parish center. In addition, they are responsible for checking the visitor books located inside the church and making initial contact with those who have requested more information about St. Gertrude.
Jana Widmeyer, current chairperson of the committee invites everyone to stop by at the upcoming Stewardship Sunday to see if you would be interested in helping out with this very important but also very fun ministry.
"Being a member of the committee that registers new parishioners is a wonderful (and easy) way to welcome and introduce new families to St. Gertrude", Jana writes. "It provides a concrete way to offer back time and talent to the Church. This parish has so much to offer and it is a joy to share that with others."
We are very grateful for all the work that this group of committed St. Gertrude Parishioners does for the welcoming of new members into our parish.
Thank you!
