This past weekend, with the help of Dan Hartung and Cliff Ivester from the Stewardship Committee, we celebrated our last Stewardship Sunday of the year. Two of our most labor intensive, yet highly enjoyable ministries — Festival and VBS — were on hand. If you would like to sign up to work a booth or teach a class, please contact Cathy or Shari (their numbers are on the inside cover of the bulletin!). As I mentioned in this column a few weeks back, some of our ministry leaders agreed to work with me to represent you on a brief project to improve the look of our entryways to our church. Thanks to Carol Winstel, Val Badinghaus, Rachel Friemoth, Ann Stein, and Stewardship Committee members Dani Locreille and Mike Dailey for their time. We will consolidate our findings and ideas and make recommendations to the pastor next month. Finally, in preparation for Memorial Day, committee member Jane Butschie is connecting with all our past and present military families on an updated display to honor their family members who wore the uniform and those who supported them. Collectively, we will work with Bill Theis and the Scouts on a brief ceremony to celebrate those parishioners, and their families, who answered our country’s call to serve. — Jeff Plate, Director of Stewardship and Development
