Dear Parishioners,

I regret to say that I will be leaving the parish this summer for a new academic assignment. In mid-August of this year, I will be moving to Nashville, Tennessee in order to teach English Literature at Aquinas College, a liberal arts, nursing, and teaching college administered by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation, the same religious congregation that staffs our parish school. The past one and a half years of service here at St. Gertrude’s have provided me with some wonderful pastoral opportunities and memories. I will certainly carry the parish and its concerns with me in prayer as I return to academic life, and I hope that I will have an opportunity to visit occasionally. I want to thank all those of you who made me welcome and who have supported me during my time here, and I offer my apologies to any I have offended, and ask for your forgiveness.
