Stewardship and Development 05/20/12

As this school year winds down, our principal, Sister Mary Aquinas, has the unenviable task of filling two vacancies on the faculty. Mrs. Susan Fischesser (4th grade) and Mrs. Jan Enia (1st grade) are retiring from teaching after a combined 40+ years at St. Gertrude School! Sister asked them if they would be willing
to be "profiled" in May and they both agreed! These two beloved teachers have, collectively, taught over 1,600 students through the years! Whether they taught you, your children, or grandchildren, it is clear that Susan and Jan have made a lasting impact on this community in many, many ways and are deserving of our affection and gratitude. On behalf of our pastor and the entire parish staff, I thank them for their tireless dedication to St. Gertrude School and wish them all the health and happiness in this next phase of their lives! Mrs. Jan Enia will be profiled in the May 27 bulletin. — Jeff Plate, Director of Stewardship and Development
