I can't wait! After almost a year on the staff and being part of this community, I finally get to experience the St. Gertrude Festival! What a wonderful way to start the summer and end the school year! My thanks and appreciation go out in advance to the many people out front and back stage that have made/will make this weekend such a success. Once again, the Stewardship & Development Office will have a “St. Gertrude School Alumni Tent.” Parishioners who are Stewardship Committee Members and school alumni will be on hand to welcome old friends and make new ones as we continue to make our alumni database swell with more and more names. Please let your family members know about this once-a-year event to be counted in our database to continue our outreach to former Bulldogs. Of course, this Friday night event would not be possible without Cathy Egan‟s leadership, energy, and drive. Her support for this initiative a few years back has enabled us to reconnect with dozens of alumni in and around the tri-state region. That said, let me stand aside and recognize Cathy in our latest “Profile in Stewardship” as she celebrates a milestone anniversary with us.
