Who We Are
Scouting has been a helpful, cheerful, and reverent part of the St. Gertrude Parish community since 1965. Boy Scout Troop 555, a unit of Scouts BSA, is a traditional boy scout troop on the boy-led model and serves boys in grade five through age eighteen. Our mission is to prepare boys and young men to make ethical and moral choices by teaching them the values of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law, and our motto is "Be Prepared." We also aim to integrate the traditions of the world scouting movement into our parish life.
What We Do
The Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, and Scout Slogan inform our efforts to prepare boys of high moral character for service leadership in a complex and challenging world. Our programming focus is on monthly camping outings throughout Greater Cincinnati and beyond, navigating the ranks and merits of scouting, doing a good turn daily in our community, and deepening our personal character and intrapersonal friendships, all in the context of our Catholic tradition.
When We Meet
We meet every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the St. Gertrude School cafeteria.
