Family Faith
We all know it to be true: The influence of parents in their children's faith journeys is paramount, irreplaceable even. From the earliest ages, children witness their parents' faith life and practices. This sets the trajectory for whether or not a child will live out their faith as an adult, making family life crucial to the faith formation of children.
With that knowledge, we developed Family Faith, a family-based, child-centered program for children in grades 4–6 (and their parents). After an overwhelmingly positive first two years, we are launching into our third year of the program. |

Program Elements
Those involved in Family Faith will meet twice a month: once with parents and children together, and once with children only. During the 75-minute parents/children sessions, families gather to engage in competitions and hands-on activities, to break open and discuss Scripture, to learn together, and to pray together. Junior high and high school students are encouraged to attend these family sessions as well, at no cost. Even if the content is ultimately geared toward children in grades 4–6, there is always something to learn, and older children have an opportunity to teach their younger siblings.
During the 75-minute child-only sessions, we will review with the children the presentation from the family meeting and allow the children time to talk, play, and learn with their peers. Our hope is that the friendships formed and repetition of information may bear good fruit in children's lives.
