Father James Sullivan, O.P.
Father James Sullivan, O.P., is a Dominican priest of the Province of St. Joseph. He graduated from Providence College in 1989 and was ordained in 1995. He has served as pastor at St. Dominic’s Church in Youngstown, Ohio, and also at St. Louis Bertrand Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He has taught theology at seminaries in Yonkers, New York and in Cincinnati, Ohio. After being novice master for four years and for a total of 65 novices, in 2014 he went to Rome to serve as the director for the priests’ sabbatical program at the Pontifical North American College. At present, he is pastor of St. Pius V Church in Providence and spiritual director for Our Lady of Providence Seminary. Father James’ first assignment was as parochial vicar at St. Gertrude Church many years ago!
