New Hymnal for Our Parish!

11/11/2021

The First Sunday of Advent will not only welcome the beginning of a new liturgical year but also bring the arrival of the hardcover St. Michael Hymnal, Fifth Edition, to our parish. Providing the highest quality of liturgical choices, this significant addition and enhancement to our liturgical worship presents a beautiful opportunity for parishioners and friends to purchase a St. Michael Hymnal and donate it to the church in memory of a deceased loved one, in gratitude, or as a gift.

40 Days for Life 2021

10/1/2021

Picture
40 Days for Life is an international pro-life campaign with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil to end abortion. This year’s 40 Days for Life is September 22 through October 31.
St. Gertrude Church will participate in the 40 Days for Life campaign on Wednesday, October 13, at Planned Parenthood (2314 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati) from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sign up after Mass on October 9 or 10 to participate. If you have questions, please contact Debbie Graham at (513) 984-4766 or (513) 703-5252.

One of the strengths of 40 Days for Life is its simplicity—it’s made up of just three key components:
  • Prayer - The faithful throughout Cincinnati and across the country unite in fervent prayer for 40 days.
  • Fasting: People of faith in our community and nation join together for 40 days of fasting for an end to abortion.
  • Peaceful Vigil: The faithful stand for life through a 40-day peaceful public witness outside the local Planned Parenthood abortion facility

If you would like to get involved beyond St. Gertrude Church and need more information please contact Mary Clark at (513) 791-4039 or (513) 365-2606 or cincy40days@fuse.net
