Who We Are

St. Gertrude Church is different from most parishes. Why? Watch this video to find out what makes this faith community so special.
Since 1925, St. Gertrude Church has been pastored and shaped by the Dominican Order and charism. The Dominicans live in the truth of the Word of God, they are converted and sanctified by it, and they preach it. The life of a Dominican consists of four pillars: prayer, study, the communal life, and the apostolate. These consequently inform our parish life.
As you peruse our site, come to understand more about the unique facets of our Dominican parish.

For now, you should know that St. Gertrude Church is committed to offering beautiful liturgies and to forming parishioners that they might enter ever more deeply into the Mystery of Jesus Christ. We are devoted to prayer and to courageously bringing the light of Christ into the world.
On our website, you’ll find tons of information about who we are and what we’re all about. You’ll see that our “one thing,” our mission to encounter Jesus Christ, shapes all that we do.
