Christmas 2023

Whether you are looking for information about Mass and confession times, interested in joining us for Christmas caroling, or searching for an address for a Dominican friar or sister who formerly served at St. Gertrude, here is everything you need to know about celebrating Christmas at St. Gertrude Parish this year.

To view changes to the normal liturgical schedule, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

Fourth Sunday of Advent & Christmas Mass Times

Christmas Day falls on a Monday this year. Catholics are obliged to attend Mass on Christmas and, when Christmas falls on a day other than Sunday, attend a separate Mass to fulfill their ordinary Sunday obligation. That means that you need to attend Mass for the Fourth Sunday of Advent and attend a separate Mass for Christmas. The table below provides
the specifics of how this will work this year. Please note, you do not need to reserve your seats for any of the Christmas Masses.
