L'alto: Confirmation

Grades 7 - 8

What is L'alto: Confirmation?

Inspired by the life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, L'alto: Confirmation aims to help youth grow in knowledge of the faith, deepen their relationship with Christ, and give them the confidence they need to be light in their homes, schools, and social settings.

This two-year formation process is for all seventh and eighth graders at St. Gertrude Parish who wish to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church by receiving the sacrament of Confirmation at the end of their eighth grade year.* Those who intend to receive the sacrament will commit to participate in monthly formation meetings consisting of activities, talks, small group discussions, and prayer experiences, along with several other events. All Confirmation candidates are also invited to join us for our L'alto: Junior High social events and excursions

*St. Gertrude School students are welcome and encouraged to participate in L'alto: Confirmation, but are not expected to attend to be confirmed at St. Gertrude.
