For Children & YOuth

St. Gertrude Church is committed to supporting parents in the Christian formation of their children. That's why we are happy to provide various faith formation programs for children and youth, age 3 through grade 12.

Recognizing that every child and family is unique, we offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) for the little ones and Family Family for children in grades 4–6, two child-centered and family-based faith formation programs.

We’ve also developed a dynamic, two-year, youth ministry-based Confirmation formation program for seventh and eighth graders. This program is inspired by the life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and designed to lead into a child’s completion of the sacraments of initiation at the end of his or her eighth grade year.
We’re also excited to provide high school youth ministry offerings that are rooted in real-life experiences in order to cultivate mature Christian men and women.

Finally, none of our offerings would be possible without our catechists and volunteers. If you are interested in helping with our parish formation efforts, we would love to talk with you about the leadership needs and roles in our children and youth programs. To learn more or apply for a leadership role, please contact us at (513) 561-5954, ext. 2109.

2023-2024 Faith Formation Offerings

We will announce our children and youth faith formation offerings for the 2023-2024 academic year soon, as well as our handbook, which will include:
  • a letter from St. Gertrude Parish's Evangelization team,
  • a description of each program and the 2023-2024 dates,
  • steps for registering your child(ren) for faith formation,
  • contact information, and
  • health and safety guidelines.
Once you have registered your child(ren) for our faith formation program(s), please complete this participant permission form.

We look forward to interacting with you and your children this year as we encounter Jesus Christ together.
