All girls in grades 3-8 who are students at St. Gertrude School or parishioners at St. Gertrude Church are invited to join the girls volleyball program for the 2024-2025 fall season. Here's everything you need to know about the program and how to register.
The Program
The girls volleyball program usually consists of six teams formed by grade. Depending on how many athletes there are for each grade, combo teams are a possibility.
Practices
Team evaluations for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams will be conducted in May (dates are still being determined). The league will then seed these teams according to skill level in order to best place our teams among similar competition.
Practices will begin on or after August 1, 2024, and will be in the St. Gertrude Parish gym.

Games
The regular season consists of 10 games (usually on Sunday afternoons) and begins on August 23, 2024. Tournament play begins the weekend of October 8. All home games will be played in the St. Gertrude Parish gym.
Registration
Registration is open until June 1, 2024!
Cost: $95 per player
Note for 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Parents: The team evaluation dates are dependent on how soon we can form registrants into teams, so please register ASAP.
All St. Gertrude parishioners are required to pay a one-time $30 Boosters fee for the family's "first sport" of the 2024-2025 school year. If this is your family's "first sport of the year," you will need to pay the $30 fee.

Interested in Coaching or Helping with the Program?
Whether you would like to be a head coach or an assistant coach, please enroll yourself as a volunteer. You will then be able to select "assistant coach" or "coach" from the Enrollment Selection dropdown menu.
If you don't want to coach but would like to help with the program, there are multiple parent volunteer spots for every home game, including concessions, gate, and scoreboard. Each team's head coach will set up the volunteer spots when the game season begins.
