All boys in grades K–8* are invited to join the Bulldogs wrestling team for the 2024–2025 season, which runs Tuesday, November 5, 2024, through February 15, 2025! The state qualifying season runs February 16, 2025, through April 1, 2025.

Here's everything you need to know about the wrestling team this year.

*The Team

The Bulldogs wrestling team is composed of boys in grades K-8, with the following stipulations:

Boys in grades K–6 must be either an active St. Gertrude, St. Andrew, or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishioner; a student at a school in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, or a parishioner at a church in the archdiocese.
Boys in grades 7–8 must be either a student at a school in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or homeschooled through an archdiocesan school.
Boys who don't fall into either of the above categories must attend a school or parish that does not offer wrestling.

Following registration, the coaches will use age, weight, grade, and experience criteria to break the team into groups. Group placement will be announced prior to practices being assigned.

Practices

Practice begins Tuesday, November 5, 2024. All practices will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Center (552 Main Street, Milford, OH 45150).

Beginners
Wednesday — 6:30–7:45 p.m.
Saturday — 8:30–9:30 a.m.

Intermediate Youth
Tuesday & Thursday — 5:30–6:45 p.m.
Saturday — 9:30–10:45 a.m.

Experienced & Junior High (7th and 8th Grade)
Tuesday & Thursday — 7–8:30 p.m.
Saturday — 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Registration is open until November 15, 2024.

Early Bird Discount: $135/athlete, if you register before October 1, 2024.
Regular Cost: $160/athlete, if you register between October 1 and November 15, 2024.

Includes training, use of team singlet, t-shirt, and pre-selected events both at our gym and cost of pre-selected amount of tournaments per age group.

Post-Registration Checklist

Complete & Submit Waver: Athletes in K-6th grade, please complete and submit the Amateur Minor Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability to your Division coach.
Prepare for First Practice: All wrestlers must trim their fingernails and bring the following items to the first practice: water bottle, gym shorts, t-shirt, wrestling shoes (please do not wear these into the gym; you need to wear street shoes into the gym and then change shoes prior to stepping onto the mat).

Your dedicated age group coach will follow up with more group details prior to the first practice.
