Practices
Football conditioning and pre-season practices begin in the third week of July. Practices will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Milford, about 10 to 15 minutes from each of the associated parishes. Although there are adjustments in the pre-season, practices will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday mornings once we get into the 2024-2025 school year.
Games
The regular game season runs from the first weekend after the start of school to approximately Halloween, with playoffs concluding in early November 2024. Games will be played on either Saturday or Sunday. Home games will be played at either the Seton home field or at Madeira High School Stadium. Away games will be played all over the city!

Frequently Asked Questions
What will I need to purchase?
Cleats and a water bottle. All other equipment is supplied by the Bulldogs football program.
How good is the gear that is issued?
Top of the line! We mainly issue Riddell SpeedFlex helmets (a standard for NCAA and NFL players) and new generation pads. Our uniforms are among the best in the league.
Is this a safe sport for youth players?
Statistically and realistically, yes! Our league, the Greater Catholic Youth League (GCYL), and our Bulldogs program have been charter members of the USA Football "Heads Up" program for 12 seasons. All of our coaches are USAF certified, ParishSafe, and educated annually in all safety protocols.
What is acclimatization and gear-up? We take player safety seriously. For the first few weeks, we carefully monitor heat conditioning and slowly gear up to allow a period of adjusting to the climate.
