Meeting Christ in the Eucharist Father Philip Nolan, O.P. Every time we pray in front of a tabernacle or go to adoration, we come into the presence of Christ. Drawing from the life story and liturgical texts of St. Thomas Aquinas, this engaging talk will open your eyes to the power of encountering Christ in the Eucharist and be the beginning of your journey to a deeper friendship with him.

The Road Less Traveled Father John Paul Walker, O.P. Understanding the reality of the Eucharist reveals to us who Jesus is and the profundity of the gift of his Body and Blood. But just as much, understanding the reality of the Eucharist reveals to us the pattern of life that Jesus has called us to live. Discover what living a "Eucharistic life" looks like in 21st century America—and how to walk this road less traveled.

A Call to Love Father John Mark Solitario, O.P. On the same night Jesus gave the Church his Body and Blood to drink for the first time, he prayed that he, his disciples, and we "may be one." St. Paul counseled the early Christians to live in earnest a two-fold Eucharistic unity: the participation each believer has in the sacrament of Christ's Body and Blood and the Mystical Body of Christ of which we, along with other Christians, become members. Amidst today’s challenges to this unity, how might the nationwide Eucharistic Revival stir us to better love Jesus in the Eucharist and our brothers and sisters in the faith? |

Why Drinking with Dominicans?
In a May 2021 letter, Pope Francis praised St. Dominic de Guzman (d. August 6, 1221) for answering an urgent need to preach and live as a witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in his time. The pope spoke of the charism (spiritual gift) entrusted to St. Dominic, the Church’s “preacher of grace,” which has been refracted through eight centuries in an array of saintly friars, nuns and sisters, and lay men and women called to influence the Church and the world.
The pope then said: “In our own age, characterized by epochal changes and new challenges to the Church's evangelizing mission, St. Dominic can thus serve as an inspiration to all the baptized, who are called, as missionary disciples, to reach every ‘periphery’ of our world with the light of the Gospel and the merciful love of Christ.”
In July 2021, in anticipation of St. Dominic’s feast day on August 8, we launched Drinking with Dominicans. The goal was to provide you with an opportunity to learn about some key Dominican saints and the grace God offers through the Dominican order while enjoying time with friends and sipping on brews. Building upon the success of last year, we are once again offering this weekly July series. New theme, new content, new presenters—same great Dominicans.
