It's No Secret
For decades, St. Gertrude Church has been a beacon in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Shaped by the four pillars of the Dominican spirituality (prayer, study, communal life, and apostolate), we are committed to offering beautiful liturgies, forming parishioners young and old, engaging in prayer, and courageously bringing the light of Christ into the world. It's no secret that St. Gertrude Church is a wonderful place.
It's also no secret that our church building has serious sound issues and is in need of a major sound system upgrade. Many parishioners and visitors have experienced the frustration of not catching every word of a reading or a homily. That's why, this Giving Tuesday, we are focusing all our efforts on overhauling the AV system in the church. We also plan to install a high-quality camera, which will allow for complete integration of livestreamed events, such as the school Christmas pageant, graduation, weddings, funerals, baptisms . . . the list goes on and on. |

Be Part of the Excitement
This is a huge and expensive undertaking, but it's much needed in order to continue to help people encounter Jesus Christ—and it's achievable!
Churches of our size that have successfully completed projects like this have spent an average of $165,000. Thanks to the generosity of two anonymous donors who have committed to making major donations to St. Gertrude Church on Giving Tuesday, our parish goal is $125,000. If we exceed this year's goal, we will solicit your input regarding other ways to improve our parish campus.
Improving the AV system is something we've tried to do in the past with little success. This overhaul is a long-term, permanent solution that will be a significant enhancement for our parish, both now and for generations to come. We invite you to be part of the excitement by donating to St. Gertrude Church on Giving Tuesday, November 29. The online giving portal will be open between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.
