“If one member suffers in the body of Christ which is the Church,
all the members suffer with that member.”
(1 Corinthians 12:26)
In this time of loss, we are here to assist you with your loved ones Funeral Mass. In its richness, tradition and beauty, a Catholic Funeral Liturgy provides abundant graces and consolation. Our solace as Christians takes root in the hope that comes from faith in the saving death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Dominican Friars and our Bereavement Ministry Team are here to help and guide your family in the planning and preparation of the Funeral Liturgy. Be assured of our prayers for your healing and strength.
Steps to Take:
- Call the Funeral Home you have chosen. They will schedule an appointment for you to meet and they will contact St. Gertrude to notify the Church Secretary of your preferred liturgy date.
- Our Bereavement Coordinator will then contact you to schedule a Funeral Liturgy planning session. The coordinator will walk you through the Funeral Liturgy Planning Packet and Scripture Readings.
