Walk to Remember - Rescheduled for July 31, 2021!

Our Walk to Remember (originally June 19 and canceled due to inclement weather) has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021! 

What: A 5k walk in memory of those who have passed away
When: 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021
Where: St. Gertrude and neighborhoods in Madeira

Registration

• If you registered for the original event on June 19, you do not need to re-register. But you will need to check in at the parish center to pick up their t-shirt.
• If you are a new registrant, meaning you did not register for the original event, you can register online at http://buytickets.at/stgertrude or pick up a registration form from the parish office. You may also register on the day of the event, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the parish center. Cost: $25 (includes a t-shirt, while supplies last).

​Important Details for New Registrants
T-shirts: A preset number of commemorative t-shirts were printed for the June 19 event. While there are extra shirts in various sizes, you are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Also, since the shirts were pre-printed, the name(s) of the deceased loved one(s) for in whose memory you are walking will not appear on the back of the t-shirts.​

Information for All Participants

• Course: The 3.1-mile loop begins at St. Gertrude, winds through Madeira neighborhoods, and ends at St. Gertrude. (View the course map below.)
• Refreshments: Water is available throughout the course and at the finish line. Bagels and more will be available after the walk.
• Memory Card: At the finish line, you will receive a memory card with the name(s) of your deceased loved one(s).
• Mass: A Mass will be said in memory of your deceased loved one(s).
• Prizes: All participants will be entered into a drawing after the walk for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.
